A desire to know the future has fascinated mankind for as long as we have walked the earth. Just look at the millions of dollars paid to psychics and others claiming to know the future. This is not a new practice by any means. Clear back to the beginning of written records, you can read about sorcerers, witches, magicians, and astrologers. What is the attraction? Why do so many people call '900' numbers, paying as much as $4 a minute, to find out their future? One reason is because people want to know that they are going to be ok. They want to have peace of mind and assurance.

I believe that God has placed in man's heart a desire to know what will take place in the future. It is God's plan that we be drawn to the study of His Word and as a result, not only find out about what will happen, but find what it means to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Only by building a relationship with our Creator and Redeemer can we find true peace. God has spoken to mankind through His Word. He wants us to have assurance today, in good times and bad times. He is glad to tell us about the future, however, He wishes to have a personal relationship with us even more. With this in mind, lets take a journey together into the past, present, and future.
